Invisa SP 652 Overview

The Invisa SP 652, like the Invisa 650, is a very versatile all-in-one stereo speaker that can also be used as a bipolar surround speaker or an in-ceiling height speaker when both channels are paralleled. The unitized construction is made of a marble-infused polymer, and the high-definition wide-dispersion dual-wound voice-coil 6-1/2″ driver is built in as an integrated part, providing clear performance advantages. Diffraction effects, which are prominent in many other stereo ceiling speakers that sink the drivers deep into the structure, have been carefully avoided. The two excellent but expensive HVFRTM tweeters are housed in a specially designed acoustically optimised high-frequency pod with a precisely calculated tilt to increase stereo coverage and emission into the room. It’s rare to find such high-quality tweeters in single-point stereo speakers. To properly mix the drivers for seamless superb sound quality, two complex crossovers integrating the highest quality components are used. To further improve performance, a specially shaped santoprene anti-resonance/diffraction-control ring is integrated around the driver and covers the surrounds. A high-frequency equalisation switch allows the SP 652 to be accurately tailored to any setting.
